1)  Do you believe that the 2nd Amendment confers rights to individuals or only to the Militia / Military?
The word meant citizens.  To change the meaning would require amending the Constitution.

2) Do you support equal rights for all citizens of the United States regardless of the person's sexuality? Yes

2)  If elected would you support legislation for the removal of firearm laws and regulations? Why and to what extent?
The Second Amendment cannot be interpreted any other way than to say that the government cannot restrict the ownership of guns at all.

3)  Which of the following would you be willing to support in regards to same-gender and/or polyamarous marriages and/or civil unions?
 Check as many as apply:
  [ ] Domestic partnerships for same-sex couples
  [ ] Domestic partnerships for opposite-sex couples
[ ] Domestic partnerships for polyamarous (more than two consenting adults)
  [ ] Same-sex marriages
[ ] Opposite sex marriages (What we have now)
[ ] Polyamarous marriages (between more than two consenting adults)
[ ] All of the above. Everyone should have equal rights under the law.
[X] None of the above. Government has no role in defining a marriage. Leave it to the church.
  [ ] Other_________________________________________________________

4)  What do you consider are "legitimate" reasons to own a firearm?
 Check as many as apply:
  [X] Personal Defense
  [X] Home Defense
  [X] Hunting
  [X] Farm Use
  [X] Competitive Shooting
  [X] Informal Sport Shooting
[X] Informal Target Practice and/or Plinking
  [X] Collecting
  [X] Constitutional Rights
  [ ] Other __________________________________
[ ] All of the above
[ ] None of the above

5)  Do you support the right for people to act as they wish in a private setting, with other consenting adults?  Yes

7) Would you support the banning of some firearms? (IE: Saturday night specials and "assault weapons") Why and to what extent? NO

6)  In July 2000 the Police Dept. of Attleboro Massachusetts entered a private party without a search warrant. The party was not open to the public or in the business to make a profit. Any donations given were used to pay rent. When the police entered, they arrested two people. The first person who was arrested organized the event. The second person arrested was arrested because she spanked her consenting adult partner with a wooden spoon. Do you support the actions of the Attleboro police as given in this example? Why?
Your example doesn’t say why the police were there.  If the party was not noisy, I don’t understand why they would be there at all.  Without a warrant they have no right to be in the apartment.  There was no victim with the spanking so there was no crime.  The money is immaterial.  There should not have been any arrests.

9) Do you believe that firearms and/or firearm owners should be registered? Which ones and why?
You register to take away guns.  There should be no registration.

10) Would you support the banning and/or regulation of ammunition; or of some types of ammunition? (IE: Hollow points, "Safety Slugs", etc.) Why?
You can bet the government will not ban types of ammunition for its self.  Without the ability to defend ones self from the government, the Second Amendment would be meaningless.  No

Do you have an additional statement to make that is not covered by this questionnaire? Use as much space as you wish.

There are 20,000 federal gun laws and regulations.  Those laws haven't made America safe, why should we think 20,001 will?  We shouldn't.  We need to recognize that those 20,000 laws are a principal cause of violence.  They have made our children and innocent adults less safe by disarming innocent citizens and encouraging armed criminals to abuse us.  It's like planting a sign in your yard that proclaims "No guns here, only helpless victims".

“The right of citizens to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against the tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proven to always be possible."
Senator Hubert Humphrey, 1960.

The real choice in the campaign is not who will offer you the most financial rewards after they get into office, but who will control your life.  Do you think the other candidates can best tell you how to live your life, or do you feel that only you can make the best decisions for you?  After all, who knows you best.  I will return decision making power back to the person best able to make decisions for you, YOU.  You and your family will then be free to live your lives by your values.  Instead of a world where there are only a few arrogant decision makers that allow only a very limited number of ideas, we will have a diverse, vibrant, accepting world of 280 million creative problem solvers.  The problems the politicians can’t and won’t solve, we will.
