1) Do you believe that the Second Amendment confirms the individual right of every American citizen to possess and use (update of keep and bear) militia/military weapons for individual self-defense, as well as for the defense of the State / National defense?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shal not be infringed.
As you can see the sentence is badly constructed and leads to ambiguity.
With that said, I believe it is saying that everyone must keep and bear arms so that they will be at all times prepared to be part of a well-regulated militia.
Notwithstanding that concept, I do, indeed, strongly support "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms."  Given
  • that government officials, for example, DSS, take children from families without sufficient evidence of neglect or abuse,
  • that essentially unfettered power is in the hands of a few,
  • that the police are directed to take "an arrest preferred" approach on domestic relations events even when there is no reasonable probable cause,
  • that the government maintains registers or lists denigrating the populace without cause, and
  • that there is no end in sight to such government's unlawful interference in the private lives of the populace,
  • we must not give up our right to bear arms.  It is too dangerous.

    2) If elected would you support legislation for the removal of firearm laws and regulations? If your answer is yes, and if you are elected, what specific legislation would you propose/support to ensure that this individual right is protected?  Which current laws which infringe upon this individual right would you seek to repeal?

It would be helpful to know which laws he is referring to.  There are several.  With that said, handgun sales should not be banned and the requiring of a person merely accused of abuse under chapter 209A to turn in his weaponry is unconstitutional.

    4) Would you support the banning of some firearms or ammunition? (IE:  Saturday night specials, "assault weapons", Hollow points, and "Safety Slugs") Why and to what extent?

YES.  To defend oneself does not mean we need to kill an attacker.  Merely injuring or maiming is sufficient.  Some ammunition is designed to cause as much physical damage as possible.  This is more than often needless.   Also, in my opinion, even in hunting, there is no no need for a purposely "messy kill."    Needing a messy kill is a sign that the shooter is simply a lousy hunter and probably should change "sports."    If someone is shooting to feed him/herself or his/her family, it is likely that person has enough experience to be a fairly good shot and has no need fo ammunition for a messy kill.

    5) Do you believe that firearms and/or firearm owners should be registered?    Which ones and why?

YES.  We do have laws against murder.  It certainly is handy for legitimate law-enforcement reasons, to be able to trace the ownership of weapons.

    6) Do you support equal rights for all citizens of the United States regardless of the person's sexuality / orientation and / or gender identity/_expression?

    YES

    7) Which of the following would you be willing to support in regards to same-gender and/or polyamorous marriages and/or civil unions?
      Check as many as apply:
[x] Domestic partnerships for same-sex couples
[x] Domestic partnerships for opposite-sex couples
[ ] Domestic partnerships for polyamorous (more than two consenting adults)
          [ ] Same-sex marriages
[x] Opposite sex marriages (What we have now)
[ ] Polyamarous marriages (between more than two consenting adults)
[ ] All of the above. Everyone should have equal rights under the law.
[ ] None of the above. Government has no role in defining a marriage. Leave it to the church.
          [ ] Other___________________________________________________

I neither encourage nor discourage the gay life style.  It is a matter of personal choice.  I do, however, support "civil unions" pr "domestic partnerships" of gay and lesbian couples.
Given that fundamental fairness is the cornerstone of due process and that equality is necessary in a society that espouses to be the best, those benefits which are available to heterosexual couples should be made available to gay couples.  To do otherwise would not be fundamentally fair.  To do otherwise would make a sham of the notion of "equality."

    8) Do you support the right for people to act as they wish in a private setting, with other consenting adults?

    YES

    10 Points

    9) In July 2000 the Police Dept. of Attleboro Massachusetts entered a private party without a search warrant. The party was not open to the public or in the business to make a profit. Any donations given were used to pay rent. When the police entered, they arrested two people.  The first person who was arrested organized the event. The second person arrested was arrested because she spanked her consenting adult partner with a wooden spoon. Do you support the actions of  the Attleboro police as given in this example? Why?

NO, This was a private gathering on private property among consenting adults. The Attleboro police overreached their authority and attempted to impose their sense of morality on this private group..
