Welcome to the Memphis Chapter of the Pink Pistols

Founded July 2003 in the Memphis and Mid-South area, the Memphis chapter of the Pink Pistols is one of more than 34 Chapters in 25 States, One Province and Two Countries so far with more starting up every day.

We are dedicated to the legal, safe, and responsible use of firearms for self-defense of the sexual-minority community. People who hate and fear gay, lesbian, bi, trans or polyamorous persons have no right to use us as targets for their rage. Self-defense is our RIGHT.

The Memphis Chapter of THE PINK PISTOLS is just getting started. Some of us are new to using a gun, some shoot competitively, some are men, some are women, some are single, some are partnered, some are gay, some are straight (but not narrow).

Club Events and Meetings

Group meetings open to the general public are held the last Thursday of each month at the Memphis Gay and Lesbian Community Center, 892 S Cooper Street, Memphis, TN 38104

Club shoots are held on the last Saturday of every month from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Range USA, 2770 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133. Range USA can be contacted by phone at (901) 213-4774 or on the Web at www.rangeusa.com. Cost for members is $10.00 per person + the cost of ammo, targets, and gun rental (if you don't have a firearm), or $15.00 per person if two people share a lane. Some of the members will have more than one firearm and may be willing to loan theirs, however, it is best to either bring or rent one. Thirty-one states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible.
