We can't promise a wonderful page, but here we are, the loosely-grouped Northern Virginia arm of the Pink Pistols!

The Pink Pistols itself is a national group of gun enthusiasts who also are interested in preserving and enjoying alternative lifestyles of many different types. We are not just "pink" for gay, we are "pink" to be proudly out of the mainstream. We are gay, we are kinky, we are polyamorous (more than two in a relationship). Or we are just plain ol' supportive of every kind of lifestyle. You are invited to read through the front pages of the Pink Pistols for all the good details. And from those pages you can join our vibrant e-mail discussion groups for either politics or gun-n-lives discussions. |

Did you just say "But I'm not Pink!"? That's fine. Do you respect gun ownership for private citizens? Do you respect every adult's right to be and love any adult(s) in any way they choose without interference from the government? If you answer "yes" or even "maybe," please consider sticking around for a while. | ![]() |
![]() | As of June 2001, we have a solid handful of regular members in the Northern Virginia chapter, and about 20 more people who participate online in our e-mail chat group. The regular group includes various geeks and pseudo-geeks, Rennies, SCAdians, and other fringe elements. One wild side to our group is the "straight-but-not-narrow, vanilla, open-minded white guys" contingent. We are proud to boast at least 3 NRA-certified instructors who are always happy to work with interested newbies. We get a lot of new shooters and "just maybe once's" who show up to our shoots, which is a great thing. We pride outselves in offering a friendly no-pressure atmosphere for interested people to try shooting in a safe and instructive setting. |
Really, we do three things:
1 -- We go shooting pretty much every other Wednesday at one of the local ranges.
2 -- We participate in the Pink Pistols national and local online discussions.
3 -- We continue to live our happy lives as open-minded, inclusive gun owners.
At random times we do other things for the good of the Pink Pistols' causes. Along with the leader of the Baltimore, MD, chapter, the NoVA chapter leader was interviewed on the radio in September 2000 by 96 Rock Atlanta's "The Regular Guys." The group as a whole hosted a staff writer for The Washington Blade in April, 2001, at one of our regular shoots. He ended up writing a very nice article about us. On Mother's Day, 2001, a long-time NoVA PP member spoke at the Second Amendment Sisters' rally in Richmond. His speech was really well received.
