Palouse Pink Pistols is a shooting group located in the Palouse region of Idaho and Washington that honors diversity and is open to all shooters. We help bring new shooters into the sport and provide a fun social environment for all our members. We work to build bridges between the shooting community and other communities, such as those based on alternative sexualities .
You don't have to be gay to join us, any more than you have to be Black to support civil rights, or be Jewish to support the JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership). We include members from the GLBT, Polyamarous, and BD-SM communities, but you don't need to be gay or have an alternative sexuality to join and shoot with us.
The Palouse Pink Pistols made their public debut at Palouse Pride 2002 on July 20th at Eastside Park in Moscow. Along with our spokes elephant, Ms Ella, the two founding members of the group set up a table. Ms Ella rode along in the parade in style and was a hit with many folk, who were curious as to what the Palouse Pink Pistols were. Ms Ella was a great way to break the ice with many folk who thought the groups concept was "interesting". We were very well received at Pride and talked with a lot of interested folk and a couple of reporters.
